11 DAYS SOUTH AFRICA SPOTLIGHT

10 Night / 11 Days

Welcome to the “Mother City”! As you arrive at Cape Town International Airport, your friendly driver-guide will be waiting with a big smile and a name board. After a comfortable transfer, settle into your beautiful apartment at Lawhill Luxury Apartments, right at the lively V&A Waterfront — the perfect base for families!
Spend your first afternoon exploring at your own pace. Kids will love watching the street performers, checking out the boats in the harbour, and maybe even grabbing an ice cream as the sun sets.
The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town is one of the city’s most family-friendly dining spots, offering everything from casual bites to fine dining — and plenty of options that keep even the fussiest kids happy.
Meals: LUNCH, DINNER
Private Half-Day Cape Town City Tour(Breakfast) After breakfast, get ready for one of the highlights of your trip — a cable car ride up Table Mountain! Kids will love the rotating floor that gives 360° views as you rise to the top. Once there, explore short walking trails, spot cute dassies (little mountain creatures whose nearest relative is an elephant!), and take in the breathtaking views of Cape Town below.
Next, discover the colourful Bo-Kaap with its candy-coloured houses, and visit the Company’s Garden, where the kids can feed nuts to the friendly squirrels. Wander through Greenmarket Square, full of African crafts and curios — perfect for little souvenirs to take home!
Afternoon suggestion: Take some time to relax and enjoy the Waterfront. There’s plenty to keep the young ones entertained — try a round of cave golf, a pedal boat ride along the canal, or, for older kids, a visit to the Zeitz MOCAA Museum.
This evening you will hit the sea in the Jolly Roger Pirate Boat for a sunset cruise! Enter the wideopen sea with Jack Sparrow and his fellow pirates when you go onboard the Jolly Roger Pirate Boat!
This is a one-of-a-kind experience for young and old and surely a trip to remember as this is the only Pirate Boat in South Africa!
Meals: ALL MEALS
Private Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour (Breakfast) Today is all about dramatic coastlines, wildlife encounters, and non-stop fun! Drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, past Camps Bay’s beautiful beaches, to the harbour town of Hout Bay. Here you’ll board a glass-bottom boat to see thousands of Cape Fur Seals lazing on the rocks — always a hit with kids!
Continue along the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the world’s most scenic routes, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Brave explorers can hike (or take the funicular) to the lighthouse at Cape Point and take a picture at the most southwestern tip of Africa at the Cape of Good Hope.
Enjoy a stop at the Cape Point Ostrich Farm, where you can meet these fascinating birds up close, learn about their life cycle, and even see chicks during breeding season — a fun and educational visit for all ages!
After a seaside lunch, head to Boulders Beach to see the adorable African penguins waddling and swimming nearby. Pack a bathing suit, brave the cold Atlantic Ocean and enjoy a swim at this sheltered and popular beach! End the day with a stop at the Scratch Patch in Simon’s Town, where children can fill a bag with colourful gemstones — a perfect keepsake from their adventure.

Afternoon visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (Breakfast) This morning, enjoy a relaxing start — maybe a dip in the pool, a beach morning or some family shopping.
In the afternoon, head to the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, one of the most scenic gardens in the world. Wander the paths, and don’t miss the “Boomslang” canopy walkway, where you can walk among the treetops. The kids will be thrilled by the life-sized dinosaur sculpture in the Cycad Garden — it’s like stepping back in time!
Meals: ALL MEALS
Robben Island (Breakfast) Today you’ll visit Robben Island, taking a ferry from the V&A Waterfront. While parents appreciate the historical importance, kids enjoy the boat ride and exploring the island’s open spaces.
Back on the mainland, enjoy a relaxed afternoon — perhaps rent bicycles or electric scooters along the Sea Point Promenade or walk and play at Green Point Park, a safe and beautiful spot with gardens, play areas, and open lawns. End the day with a seaside picnic or an early dinner on the waterfront.

Full-Day Cape Winelands Tour (Breakfast) The Cape Winelands aren’t just for wine lovers — they’re a playground for families too! Drive out to the rolling vineyards and mountain scenery of the Cape Winelands.
Your first stop is the amazing Wonderdal at Hazendal Wine Estate — an interactive edutainment centre where children aged 5–13 learn about science, nature, and healthy living through games, challenges, and technology. It’s colourful, creative, and fully supervised by trained “WonderPals,” giving parents time to relax over a wine tasting.
In Paarl, explore the Spice Route, a charming artisan village where families can go on a scavenger hunt, sample chocolate, try ice cream, and watch craftsmen at work.
It’s a day that blends learning, play, and a touch of indulgence for everyone!

Your last day in Cape Town is packed with fun! Start off with the exciting “Yellow Duck” amphibious tour — a “bus” that drives on land and then splashes into the water for a harbour cruise! Kids absolutely love it.
Then, explore the Two Oceans Aquarium, home to sharks, penguins, jellyfish, and an incredible variety of sea life from both oceans that meet at the Cape.
Round off your day with one last spin on the Cape Wheel and a relaxed family dinner with ocean views — the perfect farewell to Cape Town.

Fly from Cape Town to Johannesburg, then transfer to Safari Plains, a luxury safari lodge set within the Mabula Private Game Reserve in the beautiful Waterberg region of Limpopo.
Your adventure continues in the African bush, surrounded by wide-open savannahs, acacia trees, and incredible wildlife. After settling into your elegant, tented suite, enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the pool or on your private deck, watching antelope graze nearby.
As the sun sets, head out for your first evening game drive, where you might spot lions, elephants, and rhinos as the bush comes alive after dark. End the day with a delicious family dinner under the stars — a magical start to your safari experience.
Meals: ALL MEALS
Wake up to the sound of birds and the distant roar of lions! Each day begins with an early morning game drive, where you’ll explore the Mabula Private Game Reserve in search of the Big Five and many other fascinating creatures.
Between drives, relax at the lodge — kids can splash in the pool, join a fun junior ranger program, or learn about animal tracks and bush life from friendly guides. Parents can enjoy a peaceful moment at the Safari Plains Spa or a quiet drink on the terrace while watching the plains stretch out to the horizon.
Evenings are spent gathered around the campfire, sharing stories of the day’s sightings, listening to the sounds of the wild, and gazing up at the brilliant African night sky.
Meals: ALL MELAS
After one last morning in the bush, enjoy breakfast before transferring back to OR Tambo International Airport for your journey home.
